Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs




National competition of the Young Chef Rôtisseur

With a profound respect for the values and traditions of cuisine and fine dining, our association encourages and supports the training of young chefs through our national Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition.

This annual event offers young chefs the opportunity to demonstrate their culinary skills in a competitive environment with their peers. It also allows the Jeunes Chefs to showcase their talent and creativity in an national arena.

The competition is open to chefs up to 26 years of age. Competitors must be working in one of the Swiss Chaîne des Rôtisseurs member establishments.

The Swiss competition is chaired by the Bailli Délégué, the professional jury is presided Conseiller Culinaire and the event organizer is Conseiller Gastronomique. All are members of the Conseil National.

The winner of the Swiss competition, the "Victorinox Trophy" has the opportunity to represent Switzerland at the International Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs competition. 24 Local Champions are competing for the "World Champion" title and winner takes home the "Jack Bolli Trophy", in addition to invaluable experiences and a broadened network among young, aspiring chefs.

The first International Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition was organized by the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs in Switzerland in 1977. Our goal is to encourage and promote the cultural diversity in food preparation and presentation while using and applying a traditional approach.
