With nearly 21,000 members, the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is an International Association of Gastronomy now established in over 75 countries bringing together enthusiasts who share the same values of quality, fine dining, the encouragement of the culinary arts and the pleasures of the table. The distinctive character of our association is to bring together amateurs and professionals, from all over the world, whether they are executive chefs or sommeliers, restaurateurs, chef de service, hoteliers in the appreciation of fine cuisine. The bailliage de Suisse regularly organises a competition for the young chefs, the winner represents Switzerland at the international competition of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
Enthusiasts of fine wines, spirits, beers etc., meet Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs (OMGD) and extend their knowledge of fine beverages.
Switzerland's over 1500 members make us the fourth largest national Bailliage on a global perspective. Number one is the U.S. followed by Germany and Finland. Non-professional members account for about 70% of all Swiss members. Professional members leading their business in the 21 bailliages welcome the members regularly to events.
